An Interactive Opportunity for Higher Education Practitioners

This seven-week virtual experience inspires faculty and faculty partners to create renewable assignments and digital learning objects they can implement to increase affordability, accessibility, engagement, and learner agency.

Ongoing Engagement for Faculty and Staff

Monthly events, including Community Conversations, offer meaningful ways for fellow members to engage with one another and feel the support of our community as we work together to advance open education.

A Community Gathering for Education and Celebration

A virtual event that serves as an opportunity for members to boost their open ed strategies and skills, and get updated on OEN resources while connecting with colleagues and friends.

Community Fee

Our funding philosophy is that the work of education, including efforts to improve it, demands investment, and that this investment should be made at a systemic level, by institutions tasked with serving learners and by the funding structures that support these institutions. We also believe that if our educational systems and structures collaborate rather than compete, we can minimize the financial burden on all of us while simultaneously providing the infrastructure and support we all need to do great things.

By charging reasonable membership fees and providing significant benefits, the OEN can help you sustain your current open education programs, build new initiatives that deliver tangible returns for your learning community, and enter into fresh partnerships as you lead your institution into a thriving future.
